How do I know which version of Office 2010 I need: 32-bit or 64-bit?

When you purchase the download version of Microsoft Office 2010, the downloader will recommend the appropriate version (32-bit vs 64-bit) based on the installed version of Windows that you are using. The 32-bit version of Office 2010 is the recommended option for most customers because it prevents potential compatibility issues with other 32-bit applications, specifically third-party add-ins that are available only for 32-bit operating systems.

The 64-bit version of Office 2010 requires that your computer is running the 64-bit edition of Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008. You have the option to choose whichever version you want, and can always re-download the other version if you desire. Just visit your Games and Software Libraryand select to re-download the product and choose the desired version of Office 2010.
